Would you like to gain deep insight into modern portfolio management? In this training, you will learn how to apply Lean Agile Portfolio Management (LPM) to align enterprise strategy to execution.
SAFe® Lean Portfolio Management is a two-day interactive course that includes an optional one-day “Getting Started with LPM” workshop.
In this course, attendees will gain the practical tools and techniques necessary to implement the three dimensions of LPM: Strategy and Investment Funding, Agile Portfolio Operations, and Lean Governance. You will learn to establish a modern portfolio management system in line with Lean-agile principles. You will establish a deeper understanding of the SAFe® principles, roles, processes and techniques at the portfolio level. This will enable you to capture the current and future state of your portfolio using the Portfolio Canvas tool, and how to derive key business initiatives (portfolio epics) to achieve that portfolio vision. Through hands-on exercises you will learn how to achieve epic flow using the Portfolio Kanban System, and how to prioritize epics for maximum business value. You will also learn how to establish “value stream budgets” using “participatory budgeting”, how to implement useful “lean budget guardrails”, and how to measure portfolio performance.

The course is facilitated by a SAFe® Practice Consultant (SPC) certified by Scaled Agile, Inc.
The course is interactive, combining official SAFe® training materials, practical exercises and sharing the practical experiences of the trainer with implementation of SAFe® principles in large companies operating in the Czech Republic.
A day before the course we organize later in the afternoon from 17:15 to 18:00 an optional introduction session for all the participants, where we explain the virtual environment we will use during the course and how to behave in it.

After passing the exam, the certificate is made available for download in the participant’s personal user profile in SAFE® Studio.
The respective email address of the course participant is required for registration for the online examination. This will be requested with the list of participants before the training. Activation or admission to the examination usually takes place on the last day of the training.
Certification takes place after the training and successful completion of the online examination in SAFE® Studio. The certification exam needs to be passed in 30 calendar days after course attendance.
Participation is optional. Certification exam including one year membership in SAFE® Studio can be purchased optionally with the course.
